After False Claims That Consumers Are Avoiding Corona Beer, Company Says Sales Are Actually Up As the coronavirus outbreak continues people are washing their hands, covering their coughs and maybe staying away from corona beer? Last week a PR firm claimed that 38% of beer drinking Americans would not purchase Corona beer under any circumstance. Social media took the survey and ran with it making jokes about the coincidental name.
The statistic has been widely criticized and the company claims it's simply not true; instead sales have actually climbed by 5 percent in the united states over the last four weeks. We spoke to Jeff Beer, Editor at Fast Company.
