Freetown City Council Partners with Ministry of Health in an Effort to Prevent Coronavirus Spreading

Freetown City Council Partners with Ministry of Health in an Effort to Prevent Coronavirus Spreading As we closely monitor the recent progressions of the Coronavirus, we at the FCC are working in collaboration with the Ministry of Health to warn Freetonians of the severity of the virus. Despite few deaths having been recorded outside of China, the number of those who have contracted the virus globally is increasing at an alarming rate.

Ongoing investigations demonstrate no victims of the virus in Sierra Leone and FCC is lending its efforts to the Ministry of Health to keep it this way; operationalising preventative measures wherever it sees fit. Examples of these are Veronica buckets and hand sanitizers which will be distributed in schools, on school buses and in markets this week.

FCC and the Ministry of Health advises residents of Freetown to actively exercise precautions such as sneezing into the elbow and avoiding hand contact as much as possible.

Let's join the fight against Coronavirus by taking these preventative measures.
