Coronavirus outbreak: House Foreign Affairs, CDC speak on COVID-19 response

The House Foreign Affairs Committee held a subcommittee hearing on their response to the COVID-19 outbreak with Dr. Robert Redfield, Director of the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention on Thursday.

During the hearing, Dr. Redfield said that their response to the COVID-19 outbreak involves “multi-layered, aggressive containment” and public health interventions including targeted travel restrictions, quarantine, and working with the World Health Organization to combat the virus internationally.
