This post-apocalyptic film was full of stunts & left many injured.
A stuntman broke his vertebra & heel while the other broke his femur during a bike stunt.
2. The Revenant
The filming took place in Alberta, Canada where temp was below -22’ F.
DiCaprio would’ve almost touched hypothermia by jumping in frozen river.
Even the shoot had to be cancelled once as the camera gear was frozen.
3. Apocalypse Now
The movie based on Vietnam War had to face its own life threatening
challenges. The production was hit by Typhoon, crew suffered from
diseases & the actor got a heart attack.
4. Ben-Hur
During the iconic chariot race, a stuntman almost flew in the air & hurt his chin. But the director mixed it into the scene making it more dramatic.
5. The Passion of the Christ
Shooting the crucifixion in cold was difficult for actor Jim Caviezel. And in another scene he was struck by lightning which is life threatening.
6. Cartel Land
To film this documentary, the director drowned himself in the cartel-dominated Mexico. He literally joined the vigilantes on the border & got himself shot. He also went on night patrolling at Southern US border with the Arizona Border Recon.
7. Waterworld
A post-apocalyptic film where everything drowns in water. Sea side filming got the crew seasick & an actor kept getting stung by jellyfish.
To top it all, storms in Hawaii put the crew’s life & the set in danger.

After having McD’s burgers for 30 days straight, Morgan Spurlock
gained 24 pounds. It led to mood swings, heart problems & took him 14 months to lose.
9. Roar
Filming with tigers & lions is anyway a risk to life. So crew members & cast getting hurt while working with 150 big cats was inevitable. The cinematographer was so badly injured that he had to get 220 stitches.
10. Fitzcarraldo
Pulling the steamboat literally up the hill in the rain created
lot of problems. The cinematographer even cut his hand & a crew member
got bit by a snake.
