The term "stimming" is short for self stimulatory behavior and is sometimes also called stereotypic behavior. In a person with autism, stimming usually refers to specific behaviors that include hand flapping, rocking, spinning or repetition of words and phrases. Both Michelle And her sister Josephine exhibit various forms of stimming. In this instance Michelle is stimming using finger motions and sounds that she is making. She is also having a good time relaxing in Daddy's bed!
