The US and Russia made a joint statement regarding the Taliban, in which they stated that they will not accept the restoration of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. After coming to terms with being unable to win in Afghanistan, is it not about time they recognize the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan as Afghanistan's legitimate government?
