Artist Bio: Deface is an Israeli metal band formed in Netanya in 2001 by singer, guitarist and lyricist Michael Korotayev (Mishgan), lead guitarist Paul Mityanin, bassist Vladimir Ladnyuk and Tim Razumovsky on drums.
The band have since experienced multiple line-up changes, with vocalist and guitarist Michael Korotayev being the only constant presence in the band through the years.
Our music was influenced by Sepultura, Metallica, Cannibal Corpse, Napalm Death, Slayer, but sounds more likely to Benediction, Entombed or Gorefest, some kind of old school death metal with hardcore influence.
For some time Denis Shapsai played drums and with his will and energy the band went onto a tour in Europe as an opening act for Macabre and Jungle Rot in 2006.
For almost three years we were disbanded.
Somewhere in 2009 or so Michael found himself a new drummer, Vadim Freidkin, and a new era of Deface has began, after six months Alexey Polyanskiy joined the band on bass and the band was complete.
In two years or so the band started recording the album (which took eight years).
In 2011 we were called to appear at Tel-Aviv Deathfest II festival. The band started to work with new lineup. Michael Korotayev on vocals and guitar, Vadim Freidkin on drums, Alexey Polyanskiy on vocals and bass.
In 2013 Michael Wasserman joined the band as manager.
Things started to happen.

Band took place at following important festivals:
"Metal Overload", "Thrash Fest Israel", "Tel-Aviv Alternative Fest".
Tour ended with opening for mighty Entombed AD.
2016 brought some changes in the band. Alexey was replaced with Michael Wasserman on bass (ex-Grunt, ex-Antiochus).
Soon after that we reaped Israel out with concerts again on “Blatant Denial” tour that ended at “Winter Metal Storm 2017” Fest.
Album recording finished. AG studio started work on final mix.
Band started to work on album cover.
In 2018 Michael Wasserman was replaced with Kirill Berman on bass and Maria Engler joined as band's manager and photographer.
In 2019 the band released their debut album 'Blatant Denial' via Metal Scrap Records.
