Using strong Infrared illuminators and cameras enables Karabin to provide high-quality images of vehicles and their License plates even without having any environmental visual light. Also by using white illuminator and high frame rate cameras, Karabin can take a full-color image from passing vehicles in very dark conditions.
It should be noted, taking high-quality photos from every passing vehicle in very severe climate conditions like foggy, snowy, stormy and sunny weather is another Karabin strength and was approved and tested hundreds of times in real working conditions.
To overcome inappropriate lighting conditions like direct sunlight, intense reflections and shadows it should use not only strong devices but also a very powerful image processing algorithm. Different algorithms and feedbacks from the environment intelligently enabled Karabin to make a proper image from vehicles and their plates. Actually the cameras give the processing unit different kinds of information from plates and environment and let the system intelligently recognize the plate characters.
The illumination system uses very innovative technology. By adjusting the projector illumination frequency and precisely adjusting on camera framing frequency the projector uses less than 10% of its nominal power however it delivers the maximum amount of illumination needed for taking high resolution photos. It reduces electricity consumption and heat generation and increases LED life. Also the illumination gets very mild and consistent and not eyes disturbing. Moreover, the systems can be set up so that in every moment of violation the intensity of illumination increases suddenly so that the violator is noticed.
