Storm Dennis followed Storm Ciara and one week later I visited Amsterdam again to film a few crosswind landings. The first landings shows an Airbus A300 and it was one of the craziest crosswind landings I ever recorded. At first the A300 was far away from the ILS when it made its way through the clouds but somehow the pilots managed to return to the runway. Shortly before touchdown it looked like the crew tried to initiate a go around but wasn` t able to do it. Maybe a stall is visible right before the landing which could have caused the hard landing aswell. I also included my first Airbus A330-300 of Egyptair and a few other interesting planes which landed during these terrible weather conditions. Pretty sure it wasn` t an easy day for these pilots to land their planes during wind speeds up to 60 knots.
We had 5 go arounds that day, but four of them already aborted the approach in the clouds and I wasn` t able to record them. The only visible go around in this video was performed by a Boeing 737 of KLM.
Thanks for watching, new videos every tuesday and friday.
