In his annual Closing the Gap speech Prime Minister Scott Morrison delivered the news that in five of the key targets there was “no improvement”, Mr Bolt said, including unemployment which is now twice as high “among Aborigines”.
Mr Bolt said “white racism” may have had a “tiny role,” but the “so-called racist society” is contributing more than “$30 Billion a year on just half a million Aborigines”.
“Traditional Aboriginal culture,” he said, does not “produce the living standards” which Australians all “want for Aborigines”.
Features of society such as “communal ownership of land,” “living where there are no jobs,” and “not sending children to school,” does not work, he said.
“Having very patriarchal, tribal leadership; that does not work”.
