The Courier-Mail’s Renee Viellaris says the Greens' supporter base has become comprised of "fringe groups" such as "Extinction Rebellion" and "climate activists". "That's their base now," Ms Viellaris told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
Ms Viellaris said newly elected Greens Leader Adam Bandt will be "worried" about what "Labor does now when it comes to climate policy".
Because the Greens' policy "can't be too similar ... he needs to go further than Labor [and] I think he'll enjoy doing that".
