Davao Medical School Foundation was founded in July 1976 when the lack of doctors serving rural communities and need of specialist I urban areas. DMSF is dedicated to providing education and training in the medical field. Davao Medical School Foundation is registered with SEC and approved by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). DMSF govern different colleges such as the College of Dentistry, Institute of Primary Health Care and Center for Education, Research and Development in Health. It provides high-quality education and leading to the provision of effective medical care in both urban and rural communities. College of Medicine was the first college which is set up in Mindanao.
