There’s a worrying warning from grassroots lobbying group The Doctors’ Association UK that London’s hospitals are under-prepared for tackling a spread of coronavirus. Also, the head of the British Fashion Council, Stephanie Phair, has opened London Fashion Week with a call for the industry to tackle environmental sustainability. It’s thought fashion makes up to 10 percent of the world’s carbon emissions and around 85 percent of all clothing is said to end up in landfill every year. The Evening Standard says the industry can use its creativity to overcome the problem, and we talk to ES magazine’s editor-in-chief Laura Weir about to what to expect on the catwalks.
