In this acrylic pour fluid art video I used the #sheleeartstyle technique to create blooms on glass coasters. I place self adhesive vinyl on the under side of the coaster instead of using masking tape as I find this easier and more cost effective. Colours - Amsterdam persian rose, DecoArt neon sizzling pink and Windsor and Newton Gold.
Cell Activator - Amsterdam Prussian blue and Australian brand floetrol

****Products Used****
Pillow:
- Valspar, interior walls and ceiling, white silk
Pouring Medium:
- 3 parts - Valspar, Wood and Metal, Base C (NOT tinted)
- 1 part - Rustins, Quick Dry Varnish, Clear Gloss
This ratio is an estimate and to be used as a guide only. I use 2-3 parts pouring medium to 1 part paint (approximately).
Cell Activator:
- Amsterdam oxide black or titanium white (I used black for this video, both work for me)
- Australian Floetrol or Water
The floetrol I can get in Ireland is not the same as the Australian floetrol. Erica Hughes Art gave me a great tip of using just water and paint as my cell activator and it worked a treat. I did order Australian floetrol (I suffer from FOMO) which arrived in time for this video so I used it. It does make a small difference but I am not sure if it makes enough of a difference to warrant the price tag, I will continue to experiment with this.
I have also used Crown Trade - Matte Vinyl Emulsion in Neutral Base with Johnstone's - Polyurethane Varnish, Clear Gloss which worked well but I did find the consistency very thick and it needed thinned with water/flow aid. Personally, I prefer the Valspar/Rustins pouring medium.
